What can be shown, and said.
Most of Sythus is private and nobody else ever sees it. This policy covers what others can see: shown practices and their revealed words, public messages, display names, bios and links, and the listings in the Market. It also covers the messages sent with gifts and requests, which are checked before anyone reads them. There are no uploaded images in Sythus, so this policy is about words. You accept it the first time you show something.
Theme, never effect
A practice may name what the attention is for. It may not say the attention causes anything. “A practice for protection” is allowed. “This practice protects you” is not.
No health claims
No listing or message may claim to heal, cure, treat or prevent anything, or promise less stress, better sleep or feeling calmer.
No promises about more
Nothing may suggest that answering more, a bigger practice or the Circle makes anything more likely.
Beliefs
A practice written for a belief may speak that belief’s words to the people who chose it, and must say who it was written for. No content may mock, target or speak against another person’s belief, or anyone’s lack of one.
Intentions about other people
Shown content may not name another person without their consent, or be aimed at harming or controlling anyone. Words like that may stay private, but can never be revealed on a shown page, and the Market never offers a practice meant to harm anyone.
Never allowed
Harassment, hate, threats, sexual content, content involving minors, personal information about others, spam, a display name that imitates someone else or looks like an ID, anything that breaks the law or infringes someone’s rights, and offers to answer pulses for someone else.
Reporting and review
Public text is checked before it appears, and every public page has a report button. Reports are answered by a person. We may remove content that breaks this policy, and may close accounts that keep breaking it. If something you showed is taken down, it is gone from every public page at once; we tell you what and why in Notifications, and you can ask for another look. No person reviews your private words; we would look at private content only if the law required it.
